Broome County Office Building Closed Veterans Day

BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala reminds residents that the Edwin L. Crawford County Office Building will be closed Friday, November 10th in observance of Veterans Day. The building will reopen for normal operating hours on Monday, November 13th. All County Offices and Court functions will also be closed on Friday.

Executive Fiala urges Broome County residents to show their respect and appreciation for veterans by attending one of the many Veterans Day events scheduled throughout the county.

“Our country is what it is today and our world is what it is today because of the service and sacrifice of our United States Veterans,” said Executive Fiala. “While our appreciation should not be limited to just one day, Veterans Day is an opportunity for all of us in this community to demonstrate our respect and admiration for all veterans.”

The Broome County Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, November 11th at 2pm. The parade begins at American Legion Post 80 in Binghamton and this year for the first year ever, the parade will end at the All Wars Memorial at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. A short ceremony will take place at the All Wars Memorial beginning at 3pm.

At Hawley and Court, parade participants will turn right on Hawley St. and then the procession will take another right in the northbound lanes of Washington St. Parade ends at the All Wars Memorial.
