3rd Annual Binghamton Summer Film

(BINGHAMTON, NY) The 3rd Annual Binghamton Summer Film Series will begin this year on July 9th at NYSEG Stadium with Steven Spielberg’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Today, Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala was joined by Binghamton City Schools Superintendent Dr. Peggy Wozniak, Scotty Brown of the Binghamton Mets and Lawrence Kassan, Director of the Rod Serling Video Festival to announce this year’s movie schedule at NYSEG Stadium in downtown Binghamton.

 
“I encourage everyone to come and enjoy this year’s free summer films at the NYSEG Stadium and at the Forum,” said Executive Fiala, standing in the infield of NYSEG Stadium. “We are able to offer this entertainment throughout the summer thanks to our generous local sponsors: Newman Development Group, Hinman Howard and Kattell, and Security Mutual.” 
 
“Both the county and the Binghamton Mets, along with the local sponsors have created a great event for children and families to attend over the summer,” commented Binghamton City Schools Superintendent Dr. Peggy Wozniak.  
 
“If you have not experienced watching a movie on the mammoth video screen at the stadium you are missing out!” said Scott Brown, BMETS General Manager. “We are excited to have partnered with the county over the past three years to provide free family entertainment here at the NYSEG Stadium.”
 
“The Rod Serling Video Festival has established a great partnership with “Binghamton Summer Film”, said Larry Kassan. “Before each summer film, award winning entries from the video festival will be shown.”
 
In addition to an award winning short, movie goers will be treated to a thirty minute organ music pre-show before viewings at the Forum, courtesy of the Binghamton Theatre Organ Society. For more information go to: www.binghamtonsummerfilm.com.
